HADASSAH BECAME THE LEADER IN MEDICAL CARE QUALITY AGAIN
For the second year in a row, The Hadassah University Hospital is first in the ranking of the medical care quality, which is published annually by the Israeli Ministry of Health.
The ranking is one of the main parts of the National Program for Improving Medical Care Quality. The new report was published on July 20, 2022. The mentioned achievements of both hospital campuses in various fields of medicine look highly impressive.
The Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center ranked second among major multidisciplinary medical centers in the country, with an average score of 9.99.
It should be noted that the clinic was only 0.01 points short of the first place. This means that, if we exclude the subjective factor, all characteristics of the clinic are at the first place level. In addition, the Hadassah clinic is ahead of such well-known hospitals, as Ichilov and Rambam based in the center of the country.
Among the main categories by which the Ministry of Health assessed medical care quality the following were taken into account:
- time from arrival at the emergency room to initial screening and medical examination;
- time from patient arrival to CT head in case of suspected stroke;
- time from admission to the emergency department to emergency cardiac catheterization;
- the ratio of patients` number admitted to the hospital with a hip fracture to the number operated on within 48 hours after admission.
“The leading positions that our medical center has achieved are the result of the hard, dedicated work of all the staff,” said Professor Yoram Weiss, CEO of the Hadassah Clinic.
