EDUCATION
1982 – graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Hebrew University (Jerusalem, Israel).

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

• 1983-8 – specialization in pediatrics at the Hadassah University Hospital (Jerusalem, Israel).
• 1986-7 – research work in genetic metabolic disorders at the Royal Hospital Copenhagen (Denmark).
• 1997-2003 – specialization and research work in neurology and genetics at the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

• Prof. Elpeleg and her colleagues were able to detect more than 100 new gene mutations that cause various serious and dangerous diseases.
